In the summer of 2000 I ventured to Haiti as an part of a humanitarian aid mission sponsored by the American Haitian Developpment Association - a small group locally based in New Orleans. We started our trip in Port-au-Prince and ventured to a small mountainous village - La Vallee, an area just up a ten mile dirt road from the costal city of Jacmel.
