It’s difficult to try to describe a town like New Orleans. It really is more like a town and not a city – a town and community of all types of people. And a community of communities. It would be easy to stereotype this town as being simply the Vieux Carré, or Bourbon Street. Or jazz, gumbo or shotgun houses. These attributes can’t ever do enough to really describe the heart and soul of this area. The hearts, souls, flesh and blood of real people. Molded of diverse culture clashes, colonialism, art, greed, passion over more than three centuries, the people are what New Orleans is.
